Micah Folsom

Biography

Micah Folsom received his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.  Following this time, he worked at Berkeley’s Applied Nuclear Physics Lab at LBNL, where he characterized radiation detectors.  During the past few summers, he worked as an intern at the IAEA’s Nuclear Science and Instrumentation Laboratory and then at Pacific Northwest National Lab.  He is pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Tennessee with a concurrent M.S.  For his M.S. work, Micah is characterizing new HPGe strip detector designs for improvement of gamma ray imaging resolution.
