Aaron Nowack has a B.S. in Physics from the University of California at Davis. Following this time, he worked for Sandia National Laboratory Livermore as a R&D Laboratory Support Technologist, developing data acquisition systems, modeling and simulation, and performing data analysis for several experiments based on new techniques in neutron-based nuclear materials detection and imaging. He is now a PhD student working at UTK on methods development for rapid interpretation of images of shielded uranium assemblies. This work is being done in collaboration with the Nuclear Materials Detection and Characterization group at ORNL.
