Chris Echterling is the Radiation Safety Officer for Chase Environmental Group, Inc., a company that performs radioactive waste management, decontamination and decommissioning (D&D), and consulting to a variety of industries. Prior to working for Chase, Chris spent over six years working in applied health physics for major research universities, including work with biomedical research, high energy particle accelerators, special nuclear material, source material, diagnostic imaging, and a research reactor. His B.S., M.B.A., and graduate certificate in Global Business are from Indiana University. He has studied at WHU in Germany and PUC in Chile, and he is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and Registered Radiation Protection Technologist. As a part of his M.S. studies at the University of Tennessee, Chris is designing and building a detector system to facilitate D&D work.
